Discussing Philanthropy with Their Clients: A Panel of Professional Advisors

This session will feature a panel of 5 different professional advisors; a financial planner, a lawyer, an insurance specialist, a CPA, and an investment advisor, with the topic of talking to their clients about charitable giving. There will be a Q & A portion for attendees.

Mark EwertMark Ewert, Philanthropy Advisor, Legacy Philanthropy Group, LLC

Mark Ewert is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy ® and an International Coaching Federation, Professional Certified Coach (PCC). Mark is the author of the book, The Generosity Path: Finding the Richness in Giving. His writings have been featured on The Motley Fool website, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, The Council on Foundations website, and in Sojourner's Magazine.

Aquanetta J. Betts has 11 year's of experience as an attorney. Prior to World Vision, she worked with clients on estate plans & planned giving. She's a member of: MD & D.C., Bar Associations, Nat'l Charitable Gift Planners Assoc., & Chesapeake Planned Giving Council.

Kevin sits on the board of the Greater Washington Foundation of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and the U.S. Mayors Enterprise Inc. Board of Directors.

Erik Fromm, has been a financial advisor for over eight years. Shawn M. Howard is a tax partner and co-practice leader of the firm's Government Contracting Practice. Shawn is currently based in the firm's Bethesda, Maryland office. He has extensive experience providing various tax services including the review of federal and multi-state tax returns, and tax strategies for a variety of domestic and international clients, including government contractors, professional services firms, technology companies, and private equity firms.

Tim Hughes joined Bronfman Rothschild in 2015 through the acquisition of Highline Wealth Management. Tim started with Highline Wealth Management in 2007 and has over fifteen years of experience working with business owners, families, real estate developers, profit sharing plans, and retirees.

Taking Metro? For events at Maggiano’s, the nearest Metro is Friendship Heights (Red line). For events at PNC, the nearest Metro is Farragut West (Blue/Orange/Silver line).

Parking: For Maggiano's there is a garage located next to Maggiano's, with the entrance on Wisconsin Ave NW. Please follow the signs for Friendship Heights in the garage, and it will lead you to Maggiano's. There are several parking garages near PNC Bank, the nearest are on Pennsylvania NW and 17th Street NW, or 18th and I Street NW.

Access to PNC: You must be checked in by security at this building, so please allow a bit of extra time for this process.
