SOME Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations to join our Development team.

Position Description: The Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing SOME's annual foundation and corporate fundraising plan. The Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations is responsible for driving the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate funders. The incumbent will also be responsible for developing and articulating a clear annual strategy for moving prospects and donors along a path to secure or increase gifts and grants through telephone calls, personal visits, written proposals, and meetings. The incumbent will serve as Senior Advisor to the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop communications and marketing strategy.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor's Degree; 3-5 yrs. experience in Fundraising and Grant Writing

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree; 5-7 yrs. experience in Fundraising and Grant Writing

  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and donor database DMI
  • Organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Relationship building skills
  • Ability to define a process and delegate tasks
  • Ability to multi-task and be productive despite competing priorities
  • Project Management ability
  • Familiarity with grant management software
  • Knowledge of social issues related to poverty alleviation

Expected Contributions
Grants Management: Supervise and manage the grants portfolio of grant consultants and Development assistants. Review and edit their proposals and reports. Manage a portfolio of corporate and foundation grants, including proposal development and required reporting. Develop yearly funding targets to achieve budgeted goals

Relationship Management: Responsible for cultivation and stewardship of SOME's major corporate and foundation funders. Implement annual donor relations strategy and activities. Development of Corporate partnership plans consisting of philanthropic grants and employee engagement; prospect cultivation meetings and donor site visits.
